Dear Parents and Carers,

In September 2017, we became the Prospere Learning Trust. The Trust is made up of four mainstream High Schools and four Special Schools. Linda Jones is the CEO and Executive Head of the Special Schools cluster within the Trust and Louise Lynn is the Head Teacher at Piper Hill. We are both delighted to welcome you to our community and share the information about our school with you in this prospectus.

Our aim is to work in partnership with yourselves and other agencies to provide the very best education and outcomes for your child. We ensure that through this partnership each pupil will achieve their potential and make outstanding progress. At Piper Hill every child matters and our relationship with yourselves and working in partnership is of paramount importance to us.

The organisation of our inspiring curriculum reflects the needs of all students and this prospectus has been designed to help you find out more about the way our school works. I hope that you will find it informative and it provides you with lots of useful information.

At Piper Hill we have state of the art facilities which provide an environment suitable for the learning needs of all our children and young adults. These facilities are designed differently to suit each individual. We have a range of specialist rooms and specialist provisions, including a hydrotherapy pool, dance and drama studio, gym, Interactive learning Environment (ILE room) and a variety of outside spaces, including a Forest School space with overnight camping pods!

How Piper Hill has developed - In February 2011, Piper Hill was awarded the status of ‘National Support School’ and in 2014 we became a Teaching School. Since then, we have established our school as a National Centre of Excellence and have developed the capacity to support other schools. We use the outstanding practice we have in school as a basis for this.

Currently we are developing our Further Education provision, ensuring we have a bespoke FE offer for our students. This is situated on an additional site on Greenbrow Road and was opened in January 2019.

We strongly believe your child will prosper being at Piper Hill and will benefit from the curriculum offered and the vast range of activities we provide.  We hope that you will join with us to help make your child’s education a positive and successful experience and together we will achieve the very best of outcomes for your child.

Over the year we hope to meet you at one of our many events or during individual pupil reviews that we hold and please do not hesitate in contacting us directly if you have any comments, questions or concerns. For any enquiries, please email - admin@piperhill.manchester.sch.uk and mark it FAO Headteacher.

Warm regards,
